Once you access your Zoom account it's time to create your meeting.  
  • This is accessed by first selecting the "Meetings" tab on the left, followed by clicking the "Schedule a Meeting" which should be along the right hand side.

Now that we have created a meeting we need to adjust a few settings.  
  • Start off by adding a title and description.  
  • To keep things simple make this a Recurring meeting and set the "Recurrence" to "No Fixed Time."  This allows the zoom link to remain the same, yet lets you use Zoom during your "off" weeks.
  • Create a password that is easy to remember, but difficult to guess (with the free version you will be required to create a password).  example: De@c0n
  • Personal Preference:  I make sure Allow participants to Join anytime is unchecked.  That way no one can join until you start the meeting.

After you save your meeting you will need to send your link to Brother Paxton
  • Your invite link will be displayed on your Zoom Meeting Details page
  • Copy and your entire invite link (this can be done manually or by using the "Copy Invitation" button along the right hand side).
  • Paste your entire invite link in an email or text to Brother Paxton

    • Ask me and I'll get you my cell phone number (it should also be listed on the Tools app)

Start your meeting when the time comes.
  • On the day of your class open Zoom and access your scheduled meetings using the "Meetings" tab along the left hand side.
  • Select which meeting you would like to start.

Additional Considerations

  • If you create a recurring meeting using the Weekly, Repeat every 1 Week option during your "off" weeks Zoom may not allow you to use Zoom as a participant and might try to automatically start your scheduled meeting.
  • If you create a recurring meeting using the Weekly, Repeat every 2 Weeks option after our first 5th Sunday your recurrence will need to be adjusted.
  • By using  Recurrence, No Fixed Time you will NOT be reminded by Zoom that you have an upcoming meeting.
